PIMP My Desktop PC, VISTA!

8.45am : Start to install the Windows Vista Ultimate on my Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 1.60Ghz desktop PC before I take my bath. After 45 minutes later, Windows Vista loaded without any problem.

Next step is to install the 3Com EtherLink 10/100 PCI TX NIC (3C905B-TX) driver because Windows Vista do not come with the required driver. 3Com website also did not provide with the Vista driver. Luckily got this 3Com Etherlink XL 3C90x Adapter Driver from Windows Marketplace. It works great and now I'm able to connect to the internet to update the Windows Vista updates.

Flash Bug

I'm getting a prompt to update my Adobe Flash Player from a website like www.manutd.com. When I was at the Adobe site, it shown "Version 9,0,28,0 installed successfully". But when I went to the Manchester United site again, it prompted the same message.

Not sure what the problem is, but I guess that it had to do with the JavaScript package "SWFObject". This package will detect the Flash version installed, but due to Windows Vista had disabled the JavaScript, the page will always tell me to update my flash. WTF, until now I don't know which setting to change and I still need to use my WinXP PC to surf this site with so called "Smart Flash Detector" script!

Updates : Got the flash works again by reinstaling the flash, put adobe site on the trust zone and disable the McAfee Acess Protection. The ActiveX need to enabled!
